Our Managing Director Jim oversees the general running of the company’s operations and is our Health & Safety Director. Coming from an Electrical Engineering background he has worked within the building industry for over 40 years. Jim oversees the Reactive Maintenance, and Specialist Planned Works, as well as assisting with the needs of our existing clients and workforce.
Marcus has covered many different roles since the company began and this has given him a vast knowledge and understanding of the building industry. His role is varied and includes managing our Groundwork’s Division and assisting with the needs of our existing commercial clients. He is also our representative for introducing new clients to the Company and along with Jim oversees the general running of the company's operations.
Since joining Chew Valley Construction in 1999, Jodi has progressed from a secretarial position to now being a Director. Jodi oversees the general running of the company, dealing with client’s needs, overseeing managers, office staff and the workforce and ensuring compliance with our various accreditations is maintained.
Tony joined Chew Valley Construction Limited in 2014 as our new Operations Manager for the Fabric Maintenance Division. His responsibilities include managing our existing operatives and our specialist subcontractors on a wide range of quoted and reactive works also preparing fixed price quotations for necessary remedial works/repairs and preparing tenders for large scale projects.
Darren is the newest addition to our team, joining us with over 20 years experience of Facilities Management, Compliance and Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance. Darren is focused on building strong working relationships with both existing and new customers and providing fully comprehensive building services maintenance solutions as well as preparing fixed price quotes for extra works and projects together with quality management of our own teams and specialist contractors.
Rob has 20 years' experience in the Drainage Industry. Rob is heading up our Drainage Division developing good working relationships with our existing and new customer base. His responsibilities include preparing reports on findings from CCTV survey inspections, fixed price quotations for necessary remedial works and preparing tenders for large scale projects.
Anna is a Chartered Management Accountant and qualified with CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) in 2011. She has over 20 years' accounting experience working with SMEs and is responsible for our accounts department looking after all aspects of our company's financial affairs.
Carla handles the day to day administration within the office, and is also the first point of contact for our telephone enquiries and assisting where required with our clients requests, co-ordinating with our workforce throughout our network of iPad’s and bespoke computerised job deployment system.
Richard is a qualified auditor of ISO 9001 Quality Management, OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety and ISO14001 Environmental Management. He is licensed to deliver the IOSH Managing Safely and IOSH Working Safely training courses, amongst others. His role working with us includes overseeing every aspect of Health & Safety and Compliance for all our planned and reactive works and providing the many in-house compliance services to our customers that we can offer.
All members of our team from Site Managers through to General Labouring operatives are smart, methodical, skilled and confident in their particular field of expertise. We have long established relationships with our specialist sub-contractors and we continually monitor their performance and competitiveness.
We are always on hand to attend to our clients every request and will endeavour to overcome any tasks that arise both quickly and efficiently with the minimum amount of fuss.
